Transloading – the process of moving a shipment from one mode of transportation to another. This is typical when moving material over long distances that cannot be delivered to final destination by one mode of transportation, or when delivering to multiple end-users in the same delivery area.
We quote freight rates for our final mile services only. All transportation to our facility is arranged by our customers.
We deliver up to 150 miles from our Joliet, IL facility.
We have extended flatbed trailers in our fleet to deliver over-length product.
We receive material by barge, rail, flatbed, van trailer, or container.
We take careful measures to ensure that we have the appropriate permitting for heavy-haul final mile deliveries.
We work with our customers to create customized storage solutions that meet their needs for short- and long-term storage.
We take pride in our ability to provide our customers with timely, reliable, and accurate access to inventory levels. We are continuously improving our technology and customer portal to do so. We have implemented barcode scanning at various stages of material movement, and can quickly locate material for shipment. We can release your material by first-in/first-out, by heat number, or by part number.

A back-haul implies the return trip made by truck after delivering a load to a specified destination. The ideal back-haul would have a return shipment which can result in significant freight cost savings. For more information on how you can take advantage of our scrap back-haul program, please contact your sales representative.
We have experience handling all types of railcars.
Our facility is located along the Des Plaines River on mile 289.8, or Three Rivers Terminal.

We have experience with various dry bulk commodities, lumber, structural steel products, steel and aluminum finished goods, palletized materials, project cargo, and heavy equipment. If you have a commodity not listed here, please inquire.

We receive material into our facility Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and Saturday between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
We do require appointments for pick-up and deliveries.
